Checking of each cylinder containing compressed gas to ensure it has been tested and marked in accordance with 46 CFR 147.60. Inspected Fireboy and operation checks normal with overide without any discrepancies. Missing inspection date on the Fixed fire fighting system and could not provide inspection report. Owner must provide proof of annual inspection of the fixed fire fighting system.

Protect passengers, crew, other persons, and the vessel, from electrical hazards, including fire, caused by or originating in electrical equipment, and electrical shock. In the machinery space, found multiple loose electrical wires with one end terminated. Electrical wiring must be properly terminated on both end to ensure safety of passengers, crew, other personnels, and the vessel.

A pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system must: ... (3) automatically shut down all power ventilation systems and all engines that draw intake air from within the protected space. When tested, the installed system failed to shut down the main diesel engine and showed as "discharged" on the gauge. Demonstrate proper operation of the installed and verification that the system is charged to the attending marine inspector prior to the carriage of passengers/cargo.

A suitable metal marine type strainer, meeting the requirements of the engine manufacturer, must be fitted in the fuel supply line in the engine compartment. Strainers must be leak free. Strainers must be the type of opening on top for cleaning screens. A drip pan fitted with flame screen must be installed under gasoline strainers. Fuel filter and strainer bowls must be highly resistant to shattering due to mechanical impact and resistant to failure due to thermal shock. Fuel filters fitted with bowls of other than steel construction must be approved by the Commandant and be protected from mechanical damage. Approval of bowls of other than steel construction will specify if a flame shield is required. A fuel filter was identified in the engine compartment without the required metal bowl and associated hardware. Install the appropriate metal bowl per manufacturer instructions and provide evidence to the attending marine inspector.

Repair to vapor tight condition, penetration made in forward engine room bulkhead.

Provide positive stop valve on wash-down system through hull penetration.

Troubleshoot and make permanent repairs to vessels main engine in regards to loss of propulsion on 13OCT2018. Repairs to be to the satisfaction to the attending marine inspector, prior to carrying passengers.

Repair and extinguish exhaust leaking into engine room, to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

Provide FCC operators permit for Master of the vessel.

Provide FCC Safty Certificate

Test and make permanent repairs to starboard fuel oil tank. Repairs and testing are to be completed to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard marine inspector.

Demonstrate proper operation of auto bilge pump run indicator light in laz.

Provide lanyard for waterlight on lifering.

Replace remote pull cable for fixed fire extinquisher system in engine room.

MAKE REPAIRS TO MAIN PROPULSION ENGINE, AND DEMONSTRATE PROPER OPERATION IN ALL RANGES OF OPERATION TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ATTENDING MARINE INSPECTOR. PROVIDE SERVICE TECH REPORT ON FINDINGS OF ENGINE FAILURE.

The aluminum MSD holding tank exhibited signs of severe corrosion and potential leaks.
