Grind down all identified locations on the hull to good glass. Any locations identified that penetrate the fiberglass must must have a description of materials(type and amounts of glass and resin) and must be repaired back to original. Notify local marine Inspector at the completion of grinding to good glass, and again once the new glass and resin has been cured, prior to painting.

Vessels constructed fully or partially of composite materials (FRP- Fiber Reinforced Plastic) shall use resin that is fire retardant and has meet as accepted by Commandant as meeting NPFC MIL-R-21607E(SH). General purpose resin may be used instead if the following requirements are met as detailed in 46 CFR 177.410(c)(1)-(4).
