If your vessel is not operated on international voyages and does not meet the conditions in paragraph (d) of this section, it must undergo a drydock and internal structural examination as follows unless it has been approved to undergo an underwater survey (UWILD) per § 176.615 of this part:(1) A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years... Marine Inspector observed that vessel did not undergo required drydock. Vessel is restricted from carriage of passengers until satisfactory drydock examination. 46 CFR 176.600

Provide repair plan for loose framing and failed structure around forward hatch.

Machinery installation must be suitable for its intended use. Provide repair plan for hydraulic lines going from Engine Room to Anchor Windlass that are beyond acceptable corrosion limits. 46CFR182.100

Piping for vital systems must be composed of ferrous materials. Provide repair plan for three sections of bilge piping in the forward are of the engine room with soft patches. 46CFR182.710

Machinery installation must be suitable for its intended use. Provide repair plan for inoperable fuel tank room bilge suction that failed to operate due to failed check valve. 46CFR182.100

A positive shutoff valve must be installed at the hull penetration. Provide overboard valves for both submersible bilge pumps located in the lazarrette. One did not have a valve installed and the other's handle was wasted off. 46CFR182.520(e)(7)

Provisions shall be made for closing all supply and discharge openings for a space protected by a gas system. Provide ventilation closures for engine room. 46CFR182.465(g)

Secure reach rod to handle of collision bulkhead securing valve.

The vessel will have mounted at the operating station, emergency instructions containing the actions to be taken in the event of fire, heavy weather, or man overboard conditions. Vessel did not have emergency instructions. 46CFR185.510(a)

Each life float may be used as long as it is in good and serviceable condition. Life float is wasted and not serviceable. Remove and destroy to satisfaction of Marine Inspector. 46CFR180.15

Replace expired Asprin in medical kit.

Fire Boy engine shutdown and override test, Underway Test and Drills, and fuel tank room bilge suction must be test prior to issuance of COI.

Each life float/buoyant apparatus shall have lifelines and pendants IAW 46CFR160.010. Lifelines and pendants are deterioratied. 46CFR180.175

Ring life buoys shall have a lifeline on at least one and be IAW 46CFR160.150. Lifeline and grab-lines were deteriorated and the life buoy showed signs of damage/cracking. 46CFR180.70

Electrical connections shall be made in an enclosure. Multiple connections were not in enclosures, to include all bilge pumps/high level alarms. 46CFR183.340(g)

Vessel must create a company drug and alcohol policy and keep on board with other paper work.

Vessel must get alcohol testing devices and keep on board.

Vessel needs new coast pilot, light list,and corrected and up to date charts of the area of operations.

Vessel needs an all round white light to meet 33CFR84 regulations. (2 mile visability)

Provide first aid kit IAW 184.710.

Provide Random Drug Testing results.

Two kapok life jackets failed. Replaced on the spot.
