On 24 March 2009, the vessel's operator, Anglo-Eastern Ship management contacted SECNOLA to inform that while checking the ballast tanks salinity with the refractometer traces of oil was noticed in 6P WBT and 6S WBT ballast water samples. Upon checking the sample taken out from No.6P TST, it appeared that the contaminant is Lubricating Oil.
