A power-driven vessel underway shall exhibit a masthead light forward. During a test of the navigation lights on the vessel, the mast head light was not operational. Repair or replace the masthead light and demonstrate proper operation of the light to the satisfaction of a Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

A ship, except a ship of less than 26 feet in length, must have an “Oil Discharge Prohibited” placard of at least 5 by 8 inches, made of durable material fixed in a conspicuous place. The vessel did not have a placard on board and posted in a conspicuous place. Provide and post an “Oil Discharge Prohibited” placard in a conspicuous and visible place to the satisfaction of a Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

Provide and post an Oil Pollution Discharge Placard that meets the requirements of 33 CFR 155.450. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after May 20th, 2023 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard MI.

A vessel on Lakes, bays, and sounds, and rivers routes. A vessel on a lakes, bays, and sounds, or rivers route must carry: Three hand red flare distress signals approved in accordance with § 160.021 in subchapter Q of this chapter and Three hand orange smoke distress signals approved in accordance with § 160.037 in subchapter Q of this chapter. As a substitute option A hand red flare distress signal approved in accordance with § 160.021 in subchapter Q of this chapter may be substituted for any of the hand orange smoke distress signals. Flares were expired. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after May 20th, 2023 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard MI. 46CFR180.68

02108 Vessel has several locations of twist wire nuts on the port side deck light and underneath the steering tonsil replacement pressure type connectors her 46 CFR 183.3 40(d). 50c

10109 Vessel is over 12 m does not have a masthead light as required by 33 CFR 83.23. Add a masthead light with at least 3 mile visibility per 33 CFR 83.22(b)(1) 50c

13199 Vessels fluid power steering system cover has wasted on the port side engine and it does not meet the minimum standard as required by 46 CFR 182.720(e). Replace two hoses with that SAE J 1942 hose SAE J1475 fittings. 50c

13199 Vessels fuel hoses are not installed with two clamps at both ends of the hose as required by 46 CFR 182.220 (V)(B). Install proper amount of hose clamps on fuel hoses.50 c

Prior to Credit Dry Dock, crop and renew holed section of the starboard side aft pontoon in way of where the transducer had been removed. Because of the small surface area of that chamber, owner was advised that a minimum 4” by 4” insert plate be fitted.

Prior to Credit for Dry Dock, V/W two cracked welds along the fins attached to the port side pontoon at the bow as marked and discussed with the vessel owner.

V/W the following cracked welds/joints on the deck rails as marked and discussed with the vessel owner: 1. Rail in way of aft door on starboard side in way of the outboard motor was completely sheared in two. 2. Lower 90 degree angle on bow main passenger access door was cracked along the elbow. 3. Upper hinge on the passenger access door on the port side was cracked.
