Flexible non-metallic hose may be used in non-vital water systems subject to the requirements of 46 CFR 182.720(d)(1)(4).
(i) Each penetration must be accomplished using a metallic through deck/bulkhead fitting that is welded or otherwise attached by an accepted method.
(ii) One or more metallic valves must be installed adjacent to the fitting. One if operable from above the bulkhead deck. Two (one fitted on either side) if not.
The water hoses in way of the toliet and sink, main deck, port penetrate the deck without the required fittings.
