The port rudder packing gland is leaking water into the port lazarette space. The leak is approximately one liter every 5 days. The packing gland shall be replaced and made watertight. 46 CFR § 176.700

The following restrictions apply: For the purpose of flexibility only, flexible hose installed in lengths of not more than 760 millimeters (30 inches) and subject to pressures of not more than 35 kPa (5 psig), may meet the following requirements: USCG Type A1, A2, B1, or B2 flexible hose may be accepted in accordance with 33 CFR part 183, subpart J. Flexible hose was found installed on the port and starboard fuel tank delievery lines and next to the main engine fuel pump. The flexible hose is less than 30" but does not meet USCG A1 fuel hose standards. 46 CFR 182.720(b)

All equipment, including switches, fuses, lampholders, etc., must be suitable for the voltage and current utilized. Overcurrent protection must be provided for each ungrounded conductor for the purpose of opening the electric circuit if the current reaches a value that causes an excessive or dangerous temperature in the conductor or conductor insulation. Conductors must be protected in accordance with their current carrying capacities. Fuses must be of the cartridge type only and be listed by Underwriters Laboratories or another independent laboratory recognized by the Commandant. Each circuit breaker must meet UL 489 (incorporated by reference; see 46 CFR 175.600) or other standard specified by the Commandant. The primary branch overcurrent protection on the starboard side is a 100 amp 220V AC double pole breaker which does not protect the 12V DC 8 AWG conductor based on its current carrying capacity or DC current. The port side primary overcurrent protection could not be identified by its current rating or breaker size. Both overcurrent protection devices will be replaced with a UL listed fuse or UL 489 breaker rated at the conductor's current carrying capacity. 46 CFR 183.380
