A nozzle on a vessel of more than 19.8 meters (65 feet) in length, must be of a type approved in accordance with approval series 162.027. Each combination solid stream and water spray firehose nozzle required to be approved under the provisions of this subpart must be of brass or bronze. MI observed both fire nozzles were completely plastic. Replace plastic nozzles with brass or bronze nozzles to the satisfaction of the MI within 14 days.
