During the inspection of the main propulsion engine, inspector noticed excessive oil leaking from the engines valve cover. Make repairs to the engine in accordance with manufactures specification.

Fuel shutoff valves must be installed in the fuel supply lines to stop fuel flow. The fuel shutoff valves are 90 degree quarter turn ball valves. When asked to operate the shutoff valves, the valves only close about 45 degrees. Vessel must provide means to close the valves 90 degrees.

Upon walking up to the pier where the vessel was moored, there was immediate concern with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers. In its current state, the vessel was being slammed back and forth repeatedly due to the amount of traffic creating wake.
