Vessels described by 46 CFR 175.110(d) must submit plans to the cognizant OCMI, in accordance with 46 CFR 176.700, for the installation and use of monitoring device to ensure the wakefulness of the watchmen... The monitoring device(s) must: (1) Ensure the wakefulness of the crew in the event that the watchman... is unresponsive; (2) Remain operable during the nighttime watch; and (3) Be arranged to ensure proper coverage of the passenger accommodation spaces, common areas, and spaces with potential fire hazards. Vessel has no watchman monitoring device. Submit plans for installation of monitoring device for approval. Vessel restricted from carriage of overnight passengers until rectified.

Pin hole leaks were found in the vessel's port fuel tank on the inboard forward/aft corners and starboard fuel tank inboard on the forward/aft corners.

Deck was cut open due to the removal of port/stbd fuel tanks and need to be repaired in kind.

Engineroom/accommodation bulkhead needs to be vapor tight.

Renew both main engine lube oil supply and return hoses with USCG approved hoses.

Deck structure above aft compartment has several broken and loose longitudinals. Deck has cracks caused by excessive movement. Complete prior to carrying passengers.

Identify source of stray electrical current between the port fuel tank vent screen and the deck rail. (estimated to be approx 60volts)

Dehumidify and remove excessive mold in aft lazarette prior to next scheduled drydock inspection, mold may be dangerous to personnel. (14OCT06).

Install visual indicators for bilge alarms, audible alarms work but there are no visual indicators installed.

Provide proof of service for BII portable extinguisher in Eng Room, prior to the carriage of passengers.

Provide proper attachment for raft painter to hydrostatic release, prior to the carriage of passengers. (painter is tied with small diameter line)

Renew engine driven bilge pump hoses with USCG approved prior to the carriage of passengers. (hoses are cracked and of unknown quality)

Provide 3-6ft of floating line for life buoy water light, prior to the carriage of passengers. (existing line does not float 12ft long)

Prior to carriage of passengers, renew EPIRB battery. Current battery expired 3/03. 46 CFR 180.64

Prior to carriage of passengers prove proper opperation/installation of pre-engineered fix fire extinguishing system (specifically engine shut down function). 46 CFR 181.410/420

Renew intermediate cutlass bearing for starboard propeller shaft. Currently the water groves are worn down and are barely visable. LEGACY COMPONENT DESC: Bearing

OWNER HAD ADDED REDUNDANT ELECTRIC BILGE PUMP IN SPACE WITH FUEL TANKS. REMOTE FUEL SHUTOFF HANDLES ALSO LOCATED WITHIN SPACE. HANDLES NEED TO BE PROTECTED BY FLAME BOWLS OR SOURCE OF INGNITION NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM SPACE.

PROVIDE UP TO DATE FCC RADIO TELEPHONY CERTIFICATE AND OPERATOR PERMIT.

AFTER VESSEL IN WATER, TEST PROPULSION, BILGE SYSTEM AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.

CONDUCT UNDERWAY TEST OF ENGINES, ATTACHED BILGE PUMP AND TEST/RADIO CHECK SINGLE SIDE BAND.

PROVIDE STRAINER FOR BILGE SUCTION IN FUEL TANK SPACE.

REPLACE WIRE NUTS ON HOLD SPACE "RULE PUMP" WITH PERMANENT "CRIMP" TYPE.

REPAIR HOLES IN 12 MAN LIFERAFT AND REPAINT.
