The owner shall make the vessel available for drydock examinations. The following worklist items shall be rectified prior to receiving credit drydock: 1)u/w hull -fwd bow- repair fractured glass on stem 2) u/w hull renew wasted sincs (6) on steel channel (3P/3S), both shafts (2), both rudders (4) 3) aft laz remove and renew rotten wood in way of rudder blocks port & stbd 4)tank compartment - stbd side wasted exhaust fix leak 5) engine room stbd outboard of main engine remoe and renew rotten planks to good material *save all removed fasteners 6)tighten bathrom seasuction valve (port side) 7) remove and cap excessive pipe on stbd side fwd head suction

The owner or managing operator shall make a vessel available for drydock examinations and internal structure examinations for certification. Vessel has lapsed the drydock and internal structure exam expiration dates, 31AUG2023, on its COI. Allow inspection for satisfactory drydock and internal structure exam credit prior to the carraige of passengers. 46CFR176.600

Repairs or alterations to the hull, machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI, except during an emergency. Marine Inspector identified a proud plank in the #2 forward compartment on the starboard side, estimated 7 planks above the keel and below the waterline. Plank is found inset 3/8" and inspector is unable to verify if the original plank construction provides this inset or if the butt end of the plank is pulling the fastener out of the transverse frame. The two sandwiched white oak pieces that make up the transverse frame were found separated at the location of the proud plank butt end. The vessel is restricted to a Lakes, Bays, and Sounds route until proper repairs are completed to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector. 46 CFR 176.700

Repairs or alterations to the hull, machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI, except during an emergency. Identified an improper repair to the port rudder post support. The wood around the rudder post support securing bolt was found decayed and the owner repaired a 5" diameter 4" deep area of wood with epoxy around the securing bolt. Crop and renew the wood as original. 46 CFR 176.700

To maintain a valid Certificate of Inspection, you must complete your annual inspection within the three months before or after each anniversary date. Vessel is greater than three months past the anniversary date. Complete all required inspections prior to carriage of passengers. 46 CFR 176.500(b)(1)

Each launching appliance and each survival craft and rescue boat on a vessel must be in good working order and ready for immediate use before the vessel leaves port and at all times when the vessel is underway. The 25 person life float's 2 inch woven straps around the body of the life float were sun damaged and broke under tension. Repair or replace as original with approved material from the life float manufacturer in accordance with 46CFR160.027. Vessel restricted to 3 NM from shore. 46 CFR 185.700

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked "First-Aid Kit". A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. All perishable items in the on-board first aid kit were past their expiration date. Replace as original. 46 CFR 184.710

Internal combustion engine exhausts must be kept clear of and suitably insulated from combustible material. The Port Engine's exhaust lagging was fallen off. Insulate exhaust pipe prior to cooling water entering piping. 46 CFR 177.405(b)

Whenever damage or deterioration to the hull plating or structural members that may affect the seaworthiness of a vessel is discovered or suspected, the cognizant OCMI may... require the vessel to... effect permanent repairs. During the internal inspection of the vessel the following areas were found to have structural damage due to different forms of rot. Prior to conducting repairs, submit a repair proposal following NVIC 7-95 in accordance with 46 CFR 176.700 for approval from the OCMI. -Transverse under-deck frame in lazarette, port side rotted with fasteners completely exposed. -Deck plywood in mid-hull hold (forward of lazarette), below storage locker, port side, found with crack in the deck and water leaking into hold. -Transverse rib stiffeners, port side engine room, outboard of port main engine, found with severe rot in multiple adjacent frames. 46 CFR 176.600(d)

Operator installed a gasoline powered generator and a/c unit on the upper deck without appoval of the cognizant [name withheld] unapproved gasoline generator installation prior to operation with passengers. 46 CFR 176.700(a)(b)

A hatch exposed to the weather must be watertight. make repairs to three watertight hatches as identified on the main deck and prove proper operation prior to carrying passengers.

Piping used in a vital system must: Be composed of ferrous aterials except when: Nonmetallic piping materials are permitted by §182.720; or Nonferrous metallic piping materials are permitted by §182.730. Replace unapproved flex hose installed in engine water cooling exhaust line and in bilge piping as identified, with approved flex hose to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 182.710

Install positive shut-off valves servicing electrical submersible pumps in steering gear, fuel tank, and wheel house compartments. 46 CFR 182.530(e)(7)

11117 - Replace life ring buoy with one approved IAW 160.050 and not less than 24 inches in diameter. 46 CFR 180.70(a)(3)

Repair or replace holed exhaust piping on port and starboard main engines.

Prove radio can display position in latitude and longitude for DSC.
