Fixed Fire Dectection (0715); Any required fixed fire detection and fire alarm system with manually operated call points shall be capable of intermediate operation at all times. Means shall be provided to ensure that any fault; power breaker, shoret circuit, earth occurring in the loop will not render whole loop ineffective. The fire control panel is displaying a fault for its battery service of power. The pattery charger and discharge board is displaying a full ground. 74SOLAS(97) II-2/13.1.1 and 13.1.15. 17 a.c.

Resolution: Troubleshooting revealed internal 12 volt batteries were damaged; batteries replaced through local procurement. Faulty terminal connection inside fire detection main board also discovered. Repairs completed; proper voltage was verified.
