Each vessel certificated to operate on a coastwise route within three miles of land must either:(1) Be provided with life floats of an aggregate capacity that will accommodate at least 100% of the total number of persons permitted on board; or(2) Meet either the standards for collision bulkheads in § 179.310 of this subchapter or § 171.085 in subchapter S of this chapter, and the standards for subdivision in §§ 179.220 and 179.320 of this chapter, or the standards for subdivision and damaged stability in §§ 171.070 through 171.073 and 171.080 in subchapter S of this chapter, as appropriate, and be provided with life floats of an aggregate capacity that will accommodate at least 50% of the total number of persons permitted on board.(3) Have on board a FCC Type Accepted Category 1 406 MHz EPIRB, installed to automatically float free and activate, and be provided with life floats of an aggregate capacity that will accommodate at least 50% of the total number of persons permitted on board. MI discovered that the Life floats where not in good working condition. Make repairs to the satisfaction of the attending MI. Vessel is restricted to Lakes Bays and Sounds and warm water months only.

Significant accumulation of oily liquid in the bilge. Remove oily liquid from bilge in Engine Room. 46 CFR 176.830(b)

The fuel shutoff valve must be manually operable from outside the compartment in which the valve is located. Vessels rod sheared off when shut off was tested. Repair and demonstrate that it works. 46CFR 182.455(b)(4)

Color of the life float must be primarily vivid reddish orange. 4 life floats are in need of maintenance and painting (dull in color and inside material is exposed). Conduct maintenance, and provide pics or schedule visit with MI when complete. 46CFR180.200(a)(2)->160.027(a)->160.010-4(n)

Vessel missing Ship's FCC Radiotelephony Safety Certificate. Certificate shall be onboard vessel and provide a copy to USCG. (See 47 CFR 80.401)

STBD hull at the waterline just forward of the pilothouse, found several pits on hull plating. Submit repair proposal.

Fixed Bilge Pump system must be capable of pumping all required sapces. Make proper repairs and demonstrate proper operation.

A vessel must have one or more Ring Life Buoys as follows. Service Ring Life Buoys grab line, Life line and water light lanyard due to deterioration.

Life Floats required must be serviceable as follows. Provide and install new grab lines , painter lines for week link and water light lanyard.

Glass materials used in windows accessible to passengers must be a material that will not break into dangerous fragments. Service window at operators station due to damage.

Prove proper operation of generator provided on board vessel.

Vessel was not able to get underway due to generator not working and operational test of vessel and drills could not be conducted. Vessel must get underway and conduct drill in the presence of the USCG prior to conducting passengers.

A vessel to which this Subchapter applies may not be operated without having on board a valid U.S. Coast Guard Certificate Of Inspection. To maintain a valid Certificate Of Inspection, You must complete your annual inspection as specified and your Certificate Of Inspection must be endorsed. Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date. Your Annual inspection was due no later than 09 August 2019. Please contact USCG to schedule your Annual COI.

Install additional courses of piping to reduce spacing of rails to less than 12".

Install chain/wire life lines in areas where rails are not installed. 3 courses less than 12" spacing.

Aft deck to be roped off until permanent repairs are made.

Emergency escape route not marked in forward crew accommodations space.

Vessel has life floats on top of the pilot house and there was no accessibility to the top of the pilot house to make preparations to abandon ship, perform maintenance, or inspect equipment on top of the pilot house.

Lifejacket donning procedures for the (2) two types of lifejackets onboard the vessel were not posted in a conspicuous spot on the vessel.

Lifebuoy and float light were mounted in an area that would not allow for float free/ easy access in case of emergency.

Marpol placard is missing.
