At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel the owner shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspections of machinery, fuel, and piping systems to include: Operation of the main propulsion machinery ahead and astern and operation the control mechanisms. The vessel was re-powered with a newer model engine and must have the installation inspected and conduct sea trials with a marine inspector prior to carrying passengers.
