A mechanical exhaust system consisting of at least two ventilation exhaust ducts located at the end of the space opposite from where the supply ducts are fitted, which extend to the lowest part of the bilge of the space on each side of the space, and which are led to one or more powered exhaust blowers. Exhaust intake fan found to not be working and exhaust ducts found not to be properly sealed. Conduct repairs to the satisfaction of the Marine Inspector.

The master and crew of a vessel will be familiar with the content of and have mounted at the operating station, emergency instructions containing the actions to be taken in the event of fire, heavy weather, or man overboard conditions. The vessel's directions for emergency conditions were posted on the operating station, however, the lettering/labeling is frayed and needs to be remarked.

deteroriation from ultraviolet light. Vessel's ring buoy was frayed and needs to be replaced with a type that is certified to be resistant to deterioration from ultraviolet light.

A vessel with a pre-engineered fixed fire extinguishing system must have the following equipment at the operating station: a light to indicate discharge, an audible alarm, and a means to reset devices automatically shut down. At each inspection, the vessel must be ready for inspection of its fire protection equipment. 02 Fire extinguishers had expired annual maintenance. Conduct annual maintenance IAW 46 CFR 176.810. Fire extinguishers were replaced with new ones on the spot.
