The owner, managing operator, or a qualified servicing facility as applicable shall conduct the following inspections and tests: for fixed gas fire extinguishing systems, the inspections and tests required by Table 176.810 (b)(2), in addition to the tests required by 46 CFR 147.65. Cylinders must be retested at least every 12 years. Flexible connections between cylinders and distribution piping of fixed carbon dioxide extinguishing systems must be replaced or tested at 1000 psi; the test must be performed when the cylinders are re-tested. The last hydrotesting date that is visibly marked on the two HPCO2 bottles is February 2011, and there is no date marked for the flex hoses. A device must be provided to automatically shut down engines that draw intake air from the protected space prior to release of the extinguishing agent into the space. Prove proper operation of pressure switch for fixed CO2 system for shutdown of main engines if CO2 system was actuated. An EAP training program must be conducted for the employer’s crewmembers and supervisory personnel. The training program must include at least the following elements: documentation of training given to crewmembers and the employer’s supervisory personnel. Supervisory personnel must receive at least 60 minutes of training. At time of attendance there was no objective evidence that the supervisor had received at least 60 minutes of training.

Each initial and subsequent inspection for certification shall include inspection of all accessible parts of the exterior and interior of the hull. In the forepeak space, third frame from the bow, there is a separated frame at keel with broken tabbing. Repair as original.
