M/V Southern Spirit struck the east side of the Sabine Fairway Jetty which cased damaged to the #4 stbd ballast tank which required a dive survey. The Class NKK report stated that the #4 stbd ballast tank had a horseshoe shaped 4' x 5' tear in the hull plating at about FR. NO. 105. A second hole was in the flat bottom in way of No. 4 stbd ballast tank at FR. NO. 100 which is 200MM x 30 MM.
