46 CFR 180.175(d) - Each life float must be fitted with a lifeline, pendants, two paddles, a painter, and a light. The Painter line was not attached to the life float, the water light was not attached to the life float, and the two paddles needed to be re-labeled with the vessels name.

46 CFR 180.70(b)(1) - Each ring life buoy on a vessel must be approved in accordance with 160.050 in subchapter Q of this chapter, or other standard specified by the Commandant, including, but not limited to, approval series 160.150. Vessels ring life buoys life line was wasted and in need of replacement, the water light needs to be attached with a lanyard of at least 3 feet in length but not more than 6 feet securing the waterlight around the body of the ring life buoy with a corrosion-resistant clip, and it needs its retro-reflective tape replaced.

46 CFR 185.604(h) - Each life jacket must be marked with Type II retro-reflective material approved in 46 CFR 164.018 or other standard specified by the Commandant. Two of the child life jackets needs it retro-reflective tape replaced.

CG001 - Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date. You must contact the cognizant OCMI to schedule an inspection at a time and place which he or she approves. No written application is required. Your vessel was due to have completed an annual inspection by 27 August 2023. You may not carry passengers until an annual inspection is completed. 46 CFR 176.500(b)(1)

46 CFR 183.340(g) Each connection to a conductor or terminal part of a conductor must be made within an enclosure. Anchor windlass wiring was taped and hanging from the overhead in the windlass space.

46 CFR 183.410(a) Each lighting fisture globe, lens or diffuser must have a guard or be made of high strength material. Light in head was missing guard over bulb. Replace as original.

No vessel subject to inspection under 46 U.S.C 3301 will be navigated unless it is under the direction and control of an individual who holds an appropriate license or officer endorsement on his or her MMC. Master license is expired. 46CFR15.515(c)

A marine employer whose vessel is involved in a casualty or incident that is, or is likely to become, a serious marine incident as defined in §4.03–2 of subchapter A of this chapter shall comply with the requirements of §4.06 in subchapter A of this chapter. Stand-in Captain is not enrolled in vessel's Drug and Alcohol Program. 46CFR185.212

Each buoyant apparatus must have a life line securely attached around the outside, festooned in bights no longer than 1 m (3 ft.), with a seine float in each bight, unless the line is of an inherently buoyant material and absorbs little or no water. The life line must be at least 10 mm (3/8 in.) diameter and have a breaking strength of at least 5400 N (1215 lb.). Synthetic line or webbing must not be used unless it is of a type represented by its manufacturer as ultraviolet light resistant, or it is pigmented in a dark color. Life float life line wasted and unusable. A vessel on a lakes, bays, and sounds, or rivers route must carry: three red hand flares and three hand orange smoke signals. A hand red flare may be substituted for any of the hand orange distress signals. Vessel's only distress signals onboard at time of inspection were 4 hand red flares. 46 CFR 180.68

Vessel's master and deckhand were not enrolled in DAPI program/drug testing consortium at time of inspection. 46 CFR 185.212

A vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date: Coast Guard Light List. Vessel's Light List carried onboard was from 2016. Replace with up-to-date edition. 46 CFR 184.420

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. Vessel did not have appropriate first-aid kit onboard at time of inspection. 46 CFR 184.710

Each ring life buoy must be marked with Type II retroreflective material approved IAW 46 CFR 164.018. The arrangement must be as specified by IMO Resolution A.658(16). Vessel's ring life buoy was missing required retroreflective markings. 46 CFR 185.604(i)

Each lifefloat must be approved under approval series 160.027 or other standard specified by the Commandant. Vessel's 15-person lifefloat had wasted retroreflective tape. Replace retroreflective tape in kind. 46 CFR 180.200(a)(2)

The minimum number of portable extinguishers on a vessel must be not fewer than required by Table 181.500(b). Vessel's COI omitted required 2-A extinguisher for accommodation space. Ensure a minimum of 3 portable extinguishers (excluding 15-lb CO2 extinguisher used for engine compartment) are properly installed by 2022 COI inspection. 46 CFR 181.500

Replace (02) Adult life jackets - that are not serviceable. Vessel’s “Passenger Onboard Count” reduced to 32.
