The electrical power available shall be sufficient to supply all those services that are essential for the safety in an emergency, due regard being paid to such services as may have been operated simultaneously. The emergency source of electrical power shall be capable, having regard to starting currents and the transitory nature of certain loads, of supplying simultaneously at least the following services for the periods specified hereinafter (section 2.1-2.6), if they depend upon electrical source for their operation. PSCO observed independent fuel supply level at .2 meters below required level. Fuel supply level must be maintained at 1.2 meters to be able to supply emergency systems throughout required time period.

Doors and door frames in "B" class divisions ventilation openings may be permitted in the lower portion of such doors. Where such openings is in or under a door the total net area of any such opening or openings shall not exceed 0.05 m2. When such opening is cut in a door it shall be fitted with a grill made of non-combustible material. PSCO observed that method to secure the lower portion of the ventilation grill was found to be missing and rendering the closure inoperable.

Doors and door frames in "B" class divisions and means of securing them shall provide a method of closure which shall have resistance to fire equivalent to that of the divisions. PSCO observed multiple B15 doors that were not able to secure due to the latching issue, the following doors were noted (OFFICE 3E082, CREW MESS 3G094).
