Each boiler, including superheater, reheater, economizer, auxiliary boiler, low-pressure heating boiler, and unfired steam boiler, must be available for examination by the marine inspector at intervals specified by table 1 to § 61.05-10, and more often, if necessary, to determine that the complete unit is in a safe and satisfactory condition.
Boiler must undergo a hydrostatic test of 1.25x the MAWP (50psi) and be held for 5-10min to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector. Boiler is not to be used until satisfactory test is complete. Low water switch must also be tested.

STBD main diesel engine's oil pressure gauge was inoperable at the operating station. Vessel is to provide a properly working oil pressure gauge at the operating station.

Jacket water coolant level gauge on port engine found with vice grip holding the level indicator in high position. Spring which reflects appropriate level and signals alarm is being prohibited in the full position. 46CFR119.200(a)
