Vessel's hull sustained damage while underway. Hull damage is port side chine, amidships IWO fuel tank, approx 24" long. Damaged area of hull impacts the vessel's seaworthiness and posses a potential pollution risk. Crop and renew damaged aluminum plating to the satisfaction of attending marine inspector. Adjacent integral fuel tank must be gas-free with marine chemist certificate prior to any hot work. Crop and renew must be completed prior to carrying passengers or vessel making any voyages.
