Batteries on upper deck for the 12V and 24V system were not fitted with fuses located as close as practicable to the battery as required by 46 CFR 120.350(g). The fuse that was installed was inside the pilot house panel and was installed in a configuration that did not match the drawing submitted to MSC. The system must be modified to locate the fuses as close as practicable to the batteries, match the configuration in the system drawing, and include fuses that meet 46 CFR 120.380(l).
