1410 - Main Engine - The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to ensure that the ship will remain fit to proced to sea without danger to the ship or crew. Vessel sustained propulsion loss due to the start air valve on #1 cylinder being stuck open causing combustion air to leak out the start air line safety disk, not allowing combustion to occur. SOLAS 74a I/11.
