Vessel is equipped with drip-less shaft seals. During inspection, Marine Inspector found that port shaft seal had slipped underneath the tensioning device. Engineers were able to replace tensioning device and repair the shaft seal installation to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector.

The cognizant Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI) determines the total number of persons permitted to be carried on a vessel. The vessel is restricted to operating with a reduction of 150 passengers, with an additional limitation of 50 passengers maximum allowed on the uppermost (Sun) deck. The total number of passengers allowed on the vessel is 600. This restriction will be lifted upon successful completion of a Stability Test and receipt of an approved Stability Letter by the USCG Marine Safety Center.
