Corrosion was evident on the metal clips on multiple life preservers. Inspect all life preservers. If the condition of any clip renders the life preservers unserviceable (ex: seized or broken), destroy the damaged life preserver and replace it with a new life preserver of an approved type.

Each vessel must be provided with safe, readily available and sufficient firefighting equipment of the type necessary to extinguish any fires which are likely to be encountered in normal operation.
Replace damaged heat detectors in kind, complete successful test in accordance with manufacturer instructions, and verify that fire detection panel has no faults or errors after replacement.
