Two cracked welds were found in the steering space. One of the cracks was on a short athwartships hull stringer and one of the cracks was on a longitudinal strength member in way of the starboard rudder post. The latter crack was exacerbated by metal wastage. Repair hull strength members to the satisfaction of the attending USCG Marine Inspector.
