46 CFR 177.1030 Operator has limited visibility forward of vsl when the ramp is up. Provided proposal to increase visibility and then impliment approved proposal.

Ensure there is emergency lighting that illuminates means of escape for emergency escape hatch in the engine room.

Ensure engine room emergency escape is marked in 2" letters on the exterior "EMERGENCY EXIT, KEEP CLEAR"

Vessels on a coastwise route must have an interconnected fire detection system in compliance with § 181.450 installed in all enclosed areas where passengers and crew have routine access, including accommodation spaces and machinery spaces.

46 CFR 185.364 Vessels on a coastwise route, flammable items not otherwise covered by the regulations of this subchapter, such as rechargeable batteries, including lithium ion batteries utilized for commercial purposes, must be handled, stored, and operated in a way that mitigates the risk of hazardous conditions. Develop a plan for the safe handling of hazardous items.

For a vessel on a coastwise route, the training program must address firefighting proficiency and must include, but need not be limited to— (1) Training in the use and location of firefighting equipment and general firefighting knowledge, including: (i) Location of firefighting appliances and emergency escape routes; (ii) Types and sources of ignition; (iii) Flammable materials, fire hazards and spread of fire; (iv) The need for constant vigilance; (v) Actions to be taken on board; (vi) Fire and smoke detection and automatic systems on board; and (vii) Classification of fire and applicable extinguishing agents. (2) The drills required by § 185.524, including fire location and fire type; and (3) Emergency egress training for each member of the crew, to occur for all members of the crew— (i) At least monthly while such members are employed on board the vessels; and (ii) Each time a crew member joins the crew of such vessel. (c) Training conducted on a sister vessel may be considered equivalent to the initial, monthly, and quarterly training requirements contained in paragraphs (a) and (b) of this section. (d) Crew training shall be logged or otherwise documented for review by the Coast Guard upon request. The training entry shall include the following information. (1) Date of the training; and (2) General description of the training topics.

Ensure each fire station is marked and has a spanner wrench.

Update first aid kit.

Tempory electrical cords (extension cords) should not be used for permanent wiring. Remove all extension cords.

Forward Port Bow House - Ensure there are no opening in the sides of junction boxes.

Forward Starboard Bow Door - hinges of the watertight door are wasted, renew at next drydock

Fire pump leaks, repair/renew.

Ensure the hertz meter on generator #2 is operational.

Ensure there are e-lights in generator room and superstructure (house).

The hydrostatic release for the EPIRB was expired. Vessel shall make EPIRB in a float free arrangement until hydrostatic release is renewed.

Stern anchor power pack battery was not secured nor had a cover. Ensure battery is secure and terminals are covered.

Ensure there is a smoke detector in the captain's stateroom.

Vessel is certificated for 16 total persons and had only 15 type I PFDs. Vessel restricted to 15 total persons until full compliment of PFDs is provided.

Replace burnt out light bulbs on the machinery alarm panel on bridge.

Provide a suitable strainer on the bilge suction line in engine room.

Electric bilge pump in the engine room is spliced to an extension cord and plugged into an electrical socket. Remove temporary wiring and permanently hard wire pump to a protected circuit.

Double clamp intake hose for 5 hp bilge pump.

Install metal cable supports every 24 inches for all cables in the engine room and generator room.

Attach an approved light to the shoulder area of each immersion suit.
