Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to:(b) Protect passengers, crew, other persons, and the vessel from electrical hazards, including fire, caused by or originating in electrical equipment, and electrical shock. Found electrical terminal loose and hanging from installed wires. MI heard arcing and sparking coming from inside console. Install new electrical terminal IAW manufactures recommendations. Clean up wiring and remove all dead-end wires IAW 46CFR183.
