The OCMI may require an inspection and testing whenever a repair or alteration is undertaken. Vessel shall submit repair proposals for damaged portions of the vessel and receive permission from Coast Guard before commencing repair work. Repairs shall be made to the satisfaction of Coast Guard Marine Inspectors prior to putting vessel in service.
