The vessel's bottom was damaged aft of the collision bulkhead. The vessel is taking on water. After taking the vessel out of the water and prior to making repairs, the damage must be witnessed by USCG marine inspectors in person at the vessel to discuss a repair plan. The plan must be approved by marine inspectors prior to repairs being started. The repairs, once finished, must also be verified by marine inspectors prior to operating.
