Aluminum hull vessels:(1) Lloyd's Yachts and Small Craft; or(i) For a vessel of more than 30.5 meters (100 feet) in length: ABS Aluminum Vessel Rules (incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600); or(ii) For a vessel of not more than 30.5 meters (100 feet) in length: ABS Steel Vessel Rules (<61 Meters), with the appropriate conversions from the ABS Aluminum Vessel Rules; Vessel has pitting in the mid body interior section that exceeds 25% of scantling thickness. Individual power pumps used for separate spaces are to be controlled from a central control point and must have a light or other visual means at the control point to indicate operation.
Vessel has four bilge pumps, but only three bilge pump indicator lights on console. During testing, no bilge pumps illuminated a light on the console. Ensure bilge pumps have an indicator light at the operating station and labeled to determine which pump has activated.

A vessel not required to have a power driven fire pump by § 181.300 must have at least three 9.5 liter (21/2 gallon) buckets, with an attached lanyard satisfactory to the cognizant OCMI, placed so as to be easily available during an emergency. The words “FIRE BUCKET” must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket.
Vessel only had one 2 gallon bucket onboard. Ensure all fire buckets are 2.5 gallons, and a total of three 2.5 gallon fire buckets are onboard vessel.

MI discovered Type III life jackets given to passengers to wear while underway. COI states all persons must wear either a Coast Guard approved Type I personal floatation device or Type V anti-exposure suit of suitable size. Only one type of flotation device is required to be onboard at a time.
