Port engine room hatch cover was found deteriorated. Vessel owner/operator shall repair or replace cover to ensure structural and watertight integrity.Temporary repair had been approved for remainder of season. Complete permanent repair to hatch cover prior to 2027 operating season

Delamination of the fiberglass was found in the vessel's engine room. Vessel owner has a plan to repair and replace that section of fiberglass near the shaft seal.

Engine room forward bulkhead was found with unsealed penetration. Make permanent repair to bulkhead

Low voltage wiring for interior LED lighting was loose or improperly secured. Make repares or remove bare wiring and loose lighting.

Water pump for freshwater system was leaking into space. Secure or repair leaking fitting at water pump.

Previous deficiency to replace hose was correcte and output of hose was increased, still not sufficient. Replace fire pump to ensure sufficient hose pressure and discharge.

Fire pump output was insufficient with the current configuaration of collapsible hose. Replace pump and hose to increase output of installed firepump.

VESSEL IS REQUIRED TO HAVE 50 ADULT LIFE JACKETS ON BOARD. ONLY 48 WERE AVAILABLE. PROVIDE 2 ADDITIONAL ADULT LIFEJACKETS. CORRECTED ON THE SPOT

STARBOARD NAVIGATION LIGHT WAS INOPERABLE. REPAIR/REPLACE STARBOARD NAVIGATION LIGHT PRIOR TO DURING NIGHT TIME HOURS.

During a steering test, a rotted brace that the steering ram mounts to was discovered. When the vessel is turned hard port or starboard a hard flex in the board is evident. Provide a plan for a temporary repair until permanent repairs can be affected during off season drydock.

Vessel is required to conduct drills on board and log monthly. The operator failed to provide records. Conduct drills and provide a record to marine inspector.

During the 2018 dry-dock/internal structural exam, a metal plate was found on the hull port side/aft in way of the keel. When removed, an improperly repaired through hull was discovered. There was 2 inch (approx) whole penetrating the hull utilizing a wood plug in the repair. In the work list issued on December 18, 2018, a repair plan was required before making a permanent proper repair. Your company made the repair without first submitting a repair plan for our review. The resin used in the repair was polyester and the original construction resin is unknown, which would require the use of epoxy due to potential secondary bonding issues. Either provide documentation attesting to original resin used in construction or make repair to the area using appropriate materials. If you decide to make a new repair, you are required to provide a detailed plan to this office prior to repair. This deficiency needs to be cleared prior to carrying passengers.

Vessel did not have valid Certificate of Documentation on-board.

First-aid kit must have all of the items listed in 46CFR 160.041-4(b) *Found multiple expired items.

Penetrations and openings in watertight bulkheads must have means to make them watertight. Found multiple holes in bulkheads below deck.

Wires in engine space must be securely fastened and in such a matter to prevent damage.

Vessel's name must be marked on lifebuoy

Destroy 2 life jackets found in unserviceable condition, replace with approved properly marked jackets.

To the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector, tighten starboard engine low pressure fuel oil pump inlet connection.

To the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector, Lubricate emergency fuel stop cables.
