At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification and re-inspection the Marine inspector shall examine and test the main steering apparatus to the extent necessary to determine its condition is satisfactory. During the test of the the steering system the marine inspector observed missing hardware at the rudder post sleeve mounts and throughout the system. Remove bolts being used as "pivot pins", replace affected hardware as original.

Examine and test by operation all watertight closures in the hull, decks and bulkheads. Main deck cover in way of steering space missing gasket on stbd side. Remote fuel shut off reach rod penetration on main deck is not water tight. Replace gaskets and add gromets/packing as necessary to maintain watertight integrity of the steering space.
