The lights prescribed in these Rules (Subpart C) shall have an intensity as specified in Annex I to these Rules (33 CFR part 84), so as to be visible at the following minimum ranges: In a vessel of 12 meters or more in length but less than 50 meters in length:(i) A white, red, green or yellow all-round light, 2 miles. Marine inspector observed all-around light without a cover or functioning light. Vessel operations limited to daylight hours until repaired to the satisfaction of the marine inspector. 33 CFR 83.22 (b)(v)

For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Marine inspector observed first aid kit on board was missing burn gel and had expired antiseptic ointment. 46 CFR 184.710
