Marine inspector observed all-around light without a cover or functioning light. Vessel operations limited to daylight hours until repaired to the satisfaction of the marine inspector.

For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Marine inspector observed first aid kit on board was missing burn gel and had expired antiseptic ointment.
