A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed below for the hull material of the vessel. Steel hull vessels:(1) Lloyd's Yachts and Small Craft; or(2) ABS Steel Vessel Rules (<61 Meters)(incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600). Numerous pitts located on hull and welds below the waterline. Remove paint to make all pits ready for inspection. Provide 3rd party gauging of pitts and nominal plate thickness in pitt area. Survey showed severe corrosion throughout hull plating. Almost all steel hull will need to be replaced. See documents in activity for proposed crop and renew. Complete crop and renew prior to operations. 46 CFR 177.300

All machinery and equipment must be installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford adequate protection from causing fire, explosion, machinery failure, and personnel injury. Vessels starboard steering ram had a minor hydraulic leak during operation.

Vessels must have a roving watch alarm for all spaced that crew or passengers routinly have access to. Roving watch was inoperable at the time of the inspection and appeared to not have been in use for awhile.

All griddles, broilers, and deep fat fryers must be fitted with a grease extraction hood in compliance with 181.425. A grease extraction hood must meet UL 710 or other standard specified by the Commandant. A grease extraction hood must be equipped with a dry or wet chemical fire extinguishing system meeting NFPA 17 or other standard specified by the Commandant, and must be listed by an independent laboratory recognized by the Commandant. Install grease extraction hood equipped with a dry or wet chemical fire extinguishing system to the satisfaction of an attending marine inspector at next credit drydock, not later than Jan 1, 2026.

All escape hatches and other emergency exits used as means of escape must be marked on both sides in clearly legible letters at least 2 inches high.

Steering system must be in suitable condition and fit for service intended. Primary steering failed due to hydraulic leak. Must correct to the satisfaction of the Coast Guard prior to getting underway.

The fire pump outlet must be fitted with a pressure gauge. The numbers on the current pressure gauge of fire pump is unreadable. Must correct to satisfaction of the Coast Guard.

Must complete the following items for credit annual exam: Must get vessel underway and conduct man over board drill and must test the remote shut-offs to the fuel supply to the satisfaction of the Coast Guard.

Emergency escape must not be blocked. Fishing rods holders on the exterior of the window must be removed to prevent poles from being placed there and blocking the escape in the case of an emergency.

VESSELS BILGE PUMP COULD NOT ADEQUATELY DE-WATER FORE PEAK COMPARTMENT. REPAIR IMPELLER/TROUBLESHOOT AND ENSURE VESSEL IS ABLE TO DEWATER EVERY WATERTIGHT COMPARTMENT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

VESSEL IS CURRENTLY RE-PIPING BAIT TANK. ENSURE AFT ENGINE ROOM WATERTIGHT BULKHEAD PENETRATIONS ARE PROPERLY SEALED AND WATERTIGHT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

VESSEL'S 02 INFLATABLE LIFE RAFTS WERE NOT ONBOARD AT TIME OF INSPECTION. VESSEL TOTAL PERSONS ALLOWED IS REDUCED TO NO MORE THAN 44 PERSONS UNTIL RAFTS ARE ONBOARD AND STOWED PROPERLY. AT WHICH TIME 88 TOTAL PERSONS ALLOWED WILL BE REINSTATED.

PROVIDE THE USCG WITH AN UPDATED AC ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM WITHIN 30 DAYS.

Electrical drawing did not match actual vessel layout. Either update drawing or change electrical equipment.

Provide DSC capability on VHF radio.

Provide safety guards on both main engines.

Install blank in galley panel.

Install Emergency lights at the bunk room main entrances.

Vessel has been identified as having various A/C electrical modifications since initial certification. Sector San Diego does not have vessels electrical plans on file or current installations do not match what we have on file. Provide a one-line electrical drawing for all A/C switchboards and distribution panels. Include all circuit loads, conductor sizes, over current protection, and max panel ratings in amps.

Replace plastic garbage can in galley with metal.

Provide the 02 life rafts required by the COI.

Provide 38 adult lifejackets. Passenger count reduced to 45 adults until corrected.

A vessel exposed to salt water must undergo a drydock and internal structural examination at least every two years. Subject vessel due date for stated exams on Certificate of Inspection (COI) was 21FEB2019. Vessel shall complete stated exams prior to carrying passengers to maintain valid COI.

Provide hydrostatic release for EPIRB.

Replace damaged fire hose.

Prove proper operation of the fire pump pressure gauge.

Remove or secure fuel filter for starboard generator prime mover

Obtain current FCC station license onboard.

Secure wire in the vicinity of aft bunkroom vent.

Provide current navigational charts for the vessel area.

Replace pedestal bear bolt on the STBD rudder assembly with proper length and size.

Prove proper operation of fire pump pressure gauge.
