The FRP port side, side-shell in the forward storage compartment suffered de-lamination from a fire on board the vessel. The vessel is required to be hauled out and the failed fiberglass area cut out and removed to good material. Damaged area extends below the chine. Request USCG attendance once damaged area is removed and to solid FRP. Submit written repair proposal to Sector San Diego prior to making any repairs.

Vessel watchman system operated but does not have a dedicated way to communicate with the system other than an app on a personal cell phones. Master of the vessel must have app installed on phone to operate watchman system until a permanent solution is on board.
