Found both tanks severely corroded. The starboard tank was found to have numerous patches and repairs which appeared to have been on the tanks for several years. A puddy compound was scraped of a corner weld of the starboard tank and a large pit/hole in the weld allowed diesel fuel to pour into the bilge. A requirement was issued to remove both fuel tanks and replace with approved tanks.
