The following tests and inspections must be carried out weekly on a vessel:(a) Each survival craft, rescue boat, and launching appliance must be visually inspected to ensure its readiness for use. Weekly inspections of IBAs not conducted or logged. Conduct weekly inspection and establish log to satisfaction of attending marine inspector.

Each survival craft, rescue boat, and launching appliance on a vessel must be inspected monthly, using the manufacturer's instructions to make sure it is complete and in good order. Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to: (b) Protect passengers, crew, other persons, and the vessel from electrical hazards, including fire, caused by or originating in electrical equipment, and electrical shock. Dead end wiring found behind breaker panel in galley. Remove wiring or cover dead ends to satisfaction of attending marine inspector.

Machinery, equipment, materials, and arrangements not covered by standards in this subchapter may be inspected in accordance with standards acceptable to the cognizant OCMI as good marine practice. Pressure gauge on starboard-side bilge pump (also may be used as fire pump) is inoperable. Replace gauge and demonstrate satisfactory operation to attending marine inspector.

A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed. Areas of major pitting discovered on the outside of the hull in the following locations: Stern lazarette, fwd rudder compartment above rudder, fwd rudder compartment aft of rudder. Submit a repair proposal for pitting to the satisfaction of Marine Inspector.

A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed. Areas of minor pitting discovered around vessel repair in accordance with discussed repair proposal.

The minimum capacity of the power fire pump shall be 50 gallons per minute at a pressure of not less than 60 pounds per square inch (PSI) at the pump outlet. The pump outlet shall be fitted with a pressure gage. The fire pump outlet gage pressure reading was 40 psi. Prove fire pump outlet pressure of 60 psi by June 11, 2024, to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 181.10-1(c) Old T

Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph all unfired pressure vessels shall be Coast Guard approved and installed to the satisfaction of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection. The requirements for design, construction and original testing of such approved unfired pressure vessels are in applicable regulations in Sub-chapter F of this chapter. A vessel must have one or more ring life buoys as follows: A vessel of more than 65 feet in length must carry a minimum of three life buoys of not less than 24 inches in diameter. All three ring life buoys plastic plugs are wasted. Replace ring life buoys to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 180.70(a)(3)

A battery charger intended for connection to a commercial supply voltage shall employ a transformer of the isolating type. An ammeter that is readily visible shall be included in the battery charger circuit. Port battery charger missing ammeter; 1) Install ammeter or 2) provide a battery charger with an integral ammeter. A vessel with installed toilet facilities must have a marine sanitation device that complies with 33 CFR part 159. Type II MSD missing required placard as described by 33 CFR 159.59. Provide required placard tot he satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 184.704

At each inspection for certification and at every other vessel inspection all observed unsafe practices, fire hazards, and other hazardous situations must be corrected and all required guards and protective devices must be in satisfactory condition. The fuel condition located on the port engine room bulkhead pump coupling is missing a protective guard and both steering pump couplings are missing protective guards. Install the required protective guards during the vessel's next dry dock in July 2024, to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 176.830(a)

The marine employer shall ensure that all individuals engaged or employed on board a vessel are fully indoctrinated in the requirements of this subpart, and that appropriate vessel personnel are trained as necessary in the practical applications of these requirements. The marine employer shall take all practicable steps to have each individual engaged or employed on board the vessel who is directly involved in the incident chemically tested for evidence of drug and alcohol use as required. Company alcohol testing policy/procedures to be conducted in the event of a SMI (2 hr alcohol testing) while underway is not in place. Provide company policy/procedure to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 4.06-1(e)

A vessel must comply with the applicable requirements for any radio and Electronic Position Indicating Radiobeacon (EPIRB) installations, including the requirements for a station license and installation certificates to be issued by the Federal Communications Commission, as set forth in 47 CFR part 80. Vessel radiotelephone installation required to comply with the Bridge to Bridge Act IAW 47 CFR 80.1001. Vessel does not have a Vessel Bridge-To-Bridge Radiotelephony Certificate, therefore is required to keep a station log required by 47 CFR 80.409(f) IAW 47 CFR 80.1005. Vessel station log missing required entries required by 47 CFR 80.409(f) described by 47 CFR 80.409(e). Provide and maintain the required station log or obtain a Vessel Bridge-To-Bridge Radiotelephony Certificate to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 184.502

A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed. The vessel has two cracked welds in the forward port and starboard compartments aft of the collision bulkhead. One fractured deck support frame in the port compartment. Renew frame and scarf and reweld fractures. 46 CFR 177.300

Irrespective of build date a vessel to which this subchapter applies must meet 46 CFR 181.405, 181.450, 181.500, 185.364, and 185.420(b), if it is not a ferry, and if it — (1) Has overnight accommodations for passengers; or (2) Is operating on a Coastwise or Oceans route. Carriage of overnight passengers is not permitted and the vessels route is restricted to Limited Coastwise while carrying passengers until the following items are complied with: 181.405, 181.450, 185.364, 185.420(b) to the satisfaction of the attending MI. 46 CFR 175.110(c)

Irrespective of build date, a vessel to which this subchapter applies must meet 46 CFR 177.115(c), 177.500(n), 185.410(b), 185.507, and 185.515, if it is not a ferry and has overnight accommodations for passengers. Carriage of overnight passengers is not permitted until the following items are complied with: 185.410(b), 185.507, and 185.515 to the satisfaction of the attending MI. 46 CFR 175.110(d)

Cable and wire for power and lighting circuits must: be listed by Underwriters Laboratories(UL), as UL Boat or UL Marine cable. Hardwire fuel recirculating pump cable and replace cable with Marine Grade wire to the satisfaction of the Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 183.340(d)(2)

Marine employers shall establish programs for the chemical testing for dangerous drugs on a random basis of crewmembers on inspected vessels who occupy a position or perform the duties and functions of a position, required by the vessel's COI. Marine employers may form or otherwise use sponsoring organizations, or may use contractors to conduct the random chemical testing programs. Provide satisfactory evidence of a chemical testing program to the satisfaction of the attending Marine inspector. 46 CFR 16.230(a)

A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed. The vessel has an approximately two inch cracked weld connecting the longitudinal deck frame members in the engine compartment. Submit a repair proposal for approval IAW NVIC 7-68.

A vessel must carry either a first aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. First aid kit had expired aspirin, replace with new aspirin.

Vessels operated beyond the 20 nautical mile limitation specified in paragraph (a)(1) of this section, but not more than 100 nautical miles from the nearest land, must be equipped with a MF-DSC frequency transmitter meeting the requirements of § 80.1101(c)(3) and capable of transmitting J3E emission and a receiver capable of reception of J3E emission within the band 1710 to 2850 kHz, in addition to the VHF-DSC radiotelephone installation required by paragraph (a)(1) of this section. VHF radio missing MMSI and LAT/LONG for DSC operation.

Install water heater relief valve rated at not more than 100psig and 250 degrees F.

Provide electrical load analysis and line diagram for newly installed eletrical equipment to be locally approved to meet standards outlined IAW 46 CFR 183.

Provide appropriate insulation on bare wire under conning station IAW 46 CFR 111.60

Clean identified corrosion occuring on wiring under conning station IAW 46 CFR 183.210

Replace blade type fueses prior to emergency switches with cartridge type UL Listed.

Replace gasket on watertight door located between engine room and lazarette.

Repair knife edge in the top right corner of the watertight door located between the crew area and apassenger area to make a complete seal.

Replace circuit breakers in main distribution panel with UL listed circuit breakers.
