The steering gear hydraulic pipe above the port fuel tank is deteriated and seeping hydraulic fuel. 46CFR176.25-35(a)

All vessels shall be provided with approved lifejackets for each person carried. 97 of the 105 adult lifejackts, manufactured by gentex under 46 CFR 160.055/79, are in a condition leading to concearns with adequate buoyancy as indicated by CG Marine Safety Alert 03-05. Preliminary PFD test for buoyancy resulted in concern of low buoyancy because the lifejacket submerged. Vessel currently has on board 8 approved serviceable lifejackets. Total persons allowed is reduced to 8 until additioanl approved and serviceable lifejackets are provided. 46 CFR 180.25
