On a vessel of at least 7.9 meters (26 feet) in length, a visual and audible alarm must be provided at the operating station to indicate a high water level in each of the following normally unmanned spaces: A machinery space bilge or other spaces subject to flooding from sea water piping within the space. Vessel's bilge high level alarms were inoperable. Crew is to monitor the bilges every 30 minutes while underway.

The words “FIRE BUCKET” must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket.
The vessel only had two fire buckets with the words "FIRE BUCKET" unreadable due to corrosion. Replace to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

There was excessive accumulation of oily water in the engine room bilge. The operator will clean out the bilge to allow the attending marine inspector to reinspect the space.
