The EPIRB's battery is replaced after it is used or before the date required by the FCC. The EPIRB's battery expired 1/25.

A vessel must carry either a first aid kit that meets the requirements in 46CFR199.175(b)(10) (Meets ISO 18813:2006) or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. Kit was missing contents.

The number and identification of the items stowed inside, and their sizes, must be marked in clearly legible letters and numbers on each container for life jackets.

Each ship transporting more than six passengers for hire equipped with a radiotelephone station in accordance with Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must carry a radio operator who meets the following requirements:(1) Where the station power does not exceed 250 watts carrier power or 1500 watts peak envelope power, the radio operator must hold a marine radio operator permit or higher class license. Vessel does not have a radio operator. Provide evidence of Marine Radio Operator Permit to the USCG. 47CFR80.159(e)

A certification that the ship has passed an inspection must be entered into the ship's log by the inspecting technician. The technician conducting the inspection and providing the certification must not be the vessel's owner, operator, master, or employee or their affiliates. Additionally, the vessel owner, operator, or ship's master must certify in the station log that the inspection was satisfactory. Vessel's FCC Radiotelephony Inspection Certificate is expired. Provide valid certificate to the USCG. 47CFR80.59(a)(2)

A visual indicator must be provided at the operating station to indicate when any automatic bilge pump is operating. The visual indicator at the operating station for the forward & aft automatic bilge pumps is non-operational. Repair or replace in kind, the visual indicator at the operating station for the forward & aft automatic bilge pumps to the satisfaction of the attending CG Marine Inspector. 46CFR182.530(c)

Alcohol test swabs are expired. The vessel must have a non-expired alcohol test swab readily available for crew member in a safety sensitive position. 46CFR185.212

Vessel is missing all navigational publications and charts. As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date: (1) Charts of large enough scale to make safe navigation possible; (2) U.S. Coast Pilot or similar publication; (3) Coast Guard Light List; (4) Tide tables. 46CFR184.420

Vessel does not have any distress signals. Vessel must carry (6) red flares & (6)orange smoke distress signals. 46CFR180.68

Vessel does not have a first aid kit. A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit that meets the requirements in 46 CFR 199.175(b)(10) or equivalent. 46CFR184.710

Vessel does not have (2) portable lights. 46CFR183.430

Unsafe condition of engine space bilge was identified. Clean and properly dispose of oily water and residue. 46CFR176.830

Retroreflective markings on life jackets unsat. Each life jacket must be marked with Type I retroreflective material approved in 46 CFR 164.018. 46CFR185.604(h)

Ring life buoy is missing retro reflective markings, missing vessel name marking, missing a life line, missing the floating light lanyard, missing the corrosion resistant clip, and is not suitably mounted to the vessel. Vessel must carry minimum of 24" diameter ring life buoy with retro reflective markings & name of vessel marked. Ring life buoy on a vessel must be fitted with a lifeline. Each lifeline must: Be buoyant; Be of least 60' in length; Be non-kinking; diameter of at least 5/16"; breaking strength of at least 1,124 pounds; and Be of a dark color if synthetic, or of a type certified uv resistant. Floating waterlight must have a lanyard of 3-6' in length, securing the waterlight around the body of the ring life buoy. Each floating waterlight must be attached. 46CFR180.70

Vessel has (3) 5 Gallon Fire Buckets. Vessel must have (3) 2-1/2 gallon fire buckets, with an attached lanyard, placed so as to be easily available during an emergency. The words “FIRE BUCKET” must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket. 46CFR181.610

Vessel is missing a 2-A portable fire extinguisher IAW required fire fighting equipment listed on the COI. Install and properly label a 2-A portable fire extinguisher on the vessel. 46CFR181.500

During an operational test, the pre-engineered fixed fire extinguishing system's engine override function failed. Make permanent repairs IAW MFR's specifications to the satisfaction of the attending CG Marine Inspector. 46CFR181.400

The port fuel service system shutoff valve failed to close during an operational test. Make permanent repairs and demonstrate proper function to the satisfaction of the attending CG Marine Inspector. 46CFR182.435

The fuel filter element is contaminated with sediment. Clean or replace fuel filter element IAW MFR specifications to the satisfaction of the attending CG Marine Inspector. 46CFR182.435

The visual indicator for the forward bilge alarm failed during an operational test. Make permanent repairs to the satisfaction of the attending CG Marine Inspector. 46CFR182.520

Excessively corroded hydraulic tank suction fittings and hose fittings identified in the engine space and center hold. Replace corroded fittings in kind IAW MFR specifications. 46CFR176.830

Repair bulkhead penetrations in the following areas: 1) Engine room fwd bulkhead port side for hydraulic line 2) #2 void penetrations above Official Number 3) Fwd void colission bulkhead IWO deck. 46 CFR 177.300

Provide current chart, coast pilot, tide table, and light list for navigation area. 46 CFR 184.420

Provide 01 additional flash light. 46 CFR 183.340

Provide retro reflective tape for ring buoy. 46 CFR 185.604

Provide 4 more red flares prior to carrying passengers. (46CFR180.68)

Reapir inoperable bilge alarms prior to carrying passengers (46CFR182.530)

Current Florida registration has vessel for use as a pleasure craft. Change use to commercial.

Provide on board current Coast Pilot and tide tables for area of operation. 46 CFR 184.420

Provide separate lanyard of 3-6 feet with corrsion-resistant clip IAW 46 CFR 180.70(d), for floating waterlight on ring life buoy.
