An Immersion suit complying with the requirements of section 2.3 of the code... shall be provided for every person assigned to the crew and at remotely located watch and working stations. An immersion suit... shall provide the wearer with sufficient thermal insulation. During the exam Port State Control Officers found the insulation on 21 of the immersion suits worn to the point they no longer provided thermal protection.

Not less than two lifebuoys shall be provided with lifebuoy self-activating smoke signals. While conducting the bridge exam Port State Control Officers found one of the self-activating smoke lights damaged and in need of replacement.
