At the time of inspection, the gasket around the hatch to the main engine room was found to be wasted and torn, such that CO2 vapor emitted from the vessel's fixed firefighting system would not be contained in the event of that system's deployment. 46 CFR 177.405(c)

Upper deck signage was found on forward seating area, not at either stair entranceways.
