Cargo pump rooms shall be mechanically ventilated and discharges from exhaust fan led to a safe space on the open deck. The ventilation of these rooms shall have sufficient capacity to minimize the possibility of accumulation of flammable vapors. The starboard cargo pump ventilation fan is not operational. This fan must be operational in order to provide adequate ventilation prior to conducting cargo operations. 74 SOLAS(2001) II-/59.3.1 17abc

Currently vapor is leaking out of drain fitting on 6P, 5P and 2P. This condition could allow for pressure to drop in cargo tanks and is a risk to personnel as well as a fire hazard .74 Solas 01 II-2/59. 50 A,B
