At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification, the marine inspector may require that an abandon ship or man overboard drill be held under simulated emergency conditions specified by the inspector. The vessel was not fully manned as specified by the certificate of inspection and was unable to satisfactorily demonstrate the required drills. Drills shall be conducted in the presence of a Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

On a vessel of at least 7.9 meters (26 feet) in length, a visual and audible alarm must be provided at the operating station to indicate a high water level in each of the following normally unmanned spaces: (1) A space with a through-hull fitting below the deepest load waterline, such as a lazarette; (2) A machinery space bilge, bilge well, shaft alley bilge, or other spaces subject to flooding from sea water piping within the space; and (3) A space with a non-watertight closure, such as a space with a non-watertight hatch on the main deck. (b) Vessels constructed of wood must, in addition to paragraph (a), provide bilge level alarms in all watertight compartments except small buoyancy chambers. (c) A visual indicator must be provided at the operating station to indicate when any automatic bilge pump is operating. The required high water visual and audible alarms were not functioning. Repair the high water alarms so they are functioning with a visual an audible indicator at the operating station.

This vessel is required to have three (3) Fire Buckets with lanyards. Make available all three (3) buckets for inspection.

The FCC Safety Radio Certificate is expired. Make available an updated certificate.

All radiotelephones must contain integral GPS capabilities or must be connected to an electronic position-fixing device. Connect all onboard VHF radios to GPS.

Fuel shutoff valves must be fitted in the fuel lines to stop fuel flow in the event of an emergency. The STBD fuel shutoff valve did not close using the remote fuel shutoff pull station.

Improperly installed life raft. Life raft painter was not connected to the hydrostatic release and would not have activated in an emergency.

Vessel must provide a crew for drills and underway tests prior to carrying passengers. Company does not intend to use vessel again this season. date extended to next operating season for completion, NLT May 30, 2022

Epirb hydrostatic release expired in June 2021. Provide a new hydrostatic release. Vessel is limited to operating in waters withing 3 NM's of shore.

Provide a vapor tight seal for the exhaust thru bulkhead locations in the aft engine room bulkhead.

Excessive oil on the forward engine room bulkhead and components is creating a fire hazard. Clean areas and make available for inspection.

Cracking noted in the port and starboard stepped up deck areas on either side of the aft bulkhead of the pilot house/accom space. The cracking will need to be repaired at the next Drydock which is due 30APR2022.

Provide 03 Fire Buckets.

Update First Aid Kit.

Provide adequate line for ring buoy light.

Bonding on Steering System is broken.

Renew cracked window (starboard aft).

Adjust stbd fuel shut off to ensure complete closure.
