1830 – (Cargo Transfer)-Each vessel vapor connection flange face must have a permanent stud projecting outward that has a 12.7 millimeter (0.5 inch) diameter and is at least 25.4 millimeters (1 inch) long. It must be located at the top of the flange face, midway between bolt holes, and in line with the bolt hole pattern. PSCO observed missing stud on the forward starboard vapor line flange, and the stud for the starboard aft vapor line was not permanently affixed. Vessel is prohibited from using forward and aft vapor connections on starboard side manifold until corrected. – 46 CFR Part 39.2001 (j) c
