Vessel's lazarette compartment was not equipped with a bilge suction from an installed pump or an individual electrical submersible pump was not installed in the space. O/O to install proper bilge pumping equipment to cover lazarette compartment prior to next credit hull exam.

Installed fireboy system only had a visual alarm indicating discharge. O/O to repair/replace fireboy alarm panel to ensure both audible and visual alarms are installed in system.

Repairs to the hull, machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI. O/O informed Sector Boston of damage suffered to the STBD running gear of vessel. Upon out of water inspection, marine inspectors and O/O found the STBD inboard strut support weld had broken away from the bottom hull plate and severe damage was observed on all blades of the propeller. O/O is to provide OCMI with a repair action plan detailing the steps to be taken to complete all necessary repairs and await approval prior to beginning work on vessel.

The marine inspector may require any part or all of the propeller shafting to be drawn for examination of the shafting and stern bearing whenever the condition of the shafting and bearing are in question. Vessel experienced damage that broke the weld connecting the STBD strut to the bottom plating of the hull. STBD shaft is to be pulled for full inspection of shafting and condition of bearings.
