A vessel on which a pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system is installed must have the following equipment at the operating station: A light to indicate discharge; An audible alarm that sounds upon discharge; and A means to reset devices used to automatically shut down ventilation systems and engines as required by paragraph (a)(3) of this section. The vessel's installed Xintex-Fireboy, did not have the required equipment at the operating station, and had no way to test the functionality of the pre-engineered fire system. Operator is to install required equpment and provide proof of functionality to marine inspector.

During inspection, bilge pump failed to function in automatic mode from the float switch. Operator is to repair or replace so that bilge pump operates in auto mode.
