Liftboat jacking systems are vital systems and must comply with Sections 4/1.13.1 through 4/1.13.3 of the ABS's “Rules for Building and Classing Mobile Offshore Drilling Units” as well as meet the applicable requirements of part 128 of this subchapter. Liftboat jacking system experiencing low pressure on one leg. Proceed to Cameron, LA as planned for further troubleshooting and repairs to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. Repairs and final inspection and testing are to be performed prior vessel going back to offshore service.

Each vessel shall have a red light on the port side showing an unbroken light over an arc of horizon of 112.5 degrees and so fixed as to show the light from right ahead to 22.5 degrees abaft the beam on its respective side; port running light was not visible when viewed from a distance off the port beam due to an antenna blocking it.

Annual inspection shall be made by a MI to determine vessel is in safe & seaworthy condition to include watertight integrity. During aft fire pump test, MI witnessed water coming from pinholes in deck above starboard black water holding tank. When hatch to tank was opened, MI discovered void was full of water. Vessel rep and master suspect damaged firemain piping caused flooding. Vessel master shall dewater space and gas free prior to entry for assessment and repairs. Current repairs include approximate 6” X 6” deck insert, new gasket for void hatch and firemain piping renewal. Vessel shall notify MI of damage extent and provide repair proposal before repairs commence. MI to attend vessel on 23Mar2021 to inspect space for extent of damage and completed repairs. Vessel not authorized movement until repairs complete to satisfaction of MI and shall remain jacked up during this period.
