A power driven vessel must exhibit lights while underway in periods of darkness and restricted maneuverability including side lights with an arc of visibility of 112.5 degrees in accordance with 33 CFR 83.21(b) and 33 CFR 83.23(a)(iii). The arc of visibility for the starboard side light is partially blocked on the vessel by the Masthead light and did not meet the correct arc of visibility. Properly install suitable running lights for the vessel that meet the arc of visibility requirements found in 33 CFR 83.21(b) to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector. The vessel is restricted to day light operations and times of unrestricted visibility only until installed.
